 The employment statistics are scary for ages 18-24. 16% of millennials are unemployed in the United States, according to the United States Labor Department.  6 out of 10 millennials have a job, however half of which are only part-time. Combine this with the fact that 2/3 of millenials graduate with an outstanding student loan debt averaging $26,000, what is a parent to do?? This seminar focuses on illustrating techniques and strategies that will help your millenial stand out amongst the competition while seeking employment. We will also describe ways for uncovering job opportunities that may not be advertised.

To show recent college graduates in the area how to effectively use Linkedin, Sharon and Debra are hosting a hands-on workshop at Rock 'n' Joe in Millburn on June 11th from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Participants will learn how to develop their network, how recruiters at many of the top employers use Linkedin to search for profiles that fit their criteria, and how they  can boost their own profiles.

 Sharon will provide a live demo of LinkedIn we will select a LinkedIn profile of one of our group members and demonstrate how to tweak the profile so that our candidate will be more visible during a LinkedIn Search. This meeting is limited to Lee Hecht Harrison clients and NJ SHRM members.
